Wal–Mart Stores is a is an American public corporation that runs a chain of large, discount department stores. It is the largest public corporation in the world. It was founded by Samuel Walton in Rogers, Arkans in 1962. It was incorporated on October 31 1969 as Wal-Mart Inc. Currently it runs up to 10 000 stores world wide.

SITUATION ANALYSIS

The issue is based on a political advertisement produced by Terry Nelson, a consultant and republican strategist. In 2006, Terry Nelson was hired by the Republic National Committee, which provided national leadership for the Republican Party of the United States, to run an advertisement campaign to attack the Democratic candidates for US Senate seats. The Democrat running for the Senate seat was Harold Ford Jr. who is an African American.

As explained by Business Week newspaper, online edition, on http://www.businessweek.com/bwdaily/dnflash/content/oct2006/db20061031_471519.htm; “The political advertisements include a number of actors talking sarcastically about Harold Ford Jr., the Democratic candidate from Tennessee. The one who has stirred up all the controversy, though, is a bare-shouldered blonde who says she met Ford at a Playboy party and closes the clip by winking and whispering, "Harold, call me."
The advertisement was criticized by the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), which aimed to ensure the political, educational, social, and economic equality of rights of all people and to eliminate racial hatred and racial discrimination, as racial. Business week newspaper also describes the advertisement as 'taking aim at an African American bidding to become the first black senator from Tennessee since Reconstruction, and it has set off a firestorm of debate, particularly among those who says it's a racist attempt to stoke fears of black men pursuing white women.'
