Part I. What Are Parents?

What are parents? Parents are individuals that love you unconditionally and will support you and your decisions through thick and thin. They are always there to comfort you when you are sad or upset. Parents take care of you when you are sick and force you to get up everyday and go to school. There are many reasons that my parents are the greatest.
My parents are the most astonishing people in the entire world. My mother is the loving individual that made love to my amazing father and in the mean time conceived me. My mother gave birth to me on Friday, April 13, 1984 in Brooklyn, New York. She is also the individual that has worked three jobs for as long as I can remember, to put a roof over my head and to feed my two brothers and I. She supports every decision that I make in my life, good or bad. I usually don’t make bad decisions, but my brothers do fairly often. First, they both dropped out of school. Next, they both started doing drugs. Then they started selling drugs. They both got busted on the same drug deal; they sold 50 pills of ecstasy (methylenedioxy-methamphetamine) to an undercover cop. My oldest brother was sentenced to three years in prison at Jackson Work Camp in Malone, Florida. My youngest brother was sentenced to three years probation, after the first eight months failed a drug test and violated his probation.
