The War in Iraq

The war in Iraq was a bad choice for the United States of America. In recent surveys, fifty-two percent of America says that this war has not even contributed to our long term safety. Fifty-five percent of the population believes that this war on terror has divided more than united our country. In addition, three out of four Americans say that the growing number of casualties growing in Iraq is unacceptable. We need to stoop this fighting and save more lives of the American people.

One of the main reasons that the war in Iraq has not contributed to our long term safety, is because we have not found any weapons, wet we are still there. In a simulated situation, our army stays overseas waiting for something to happen; we may be vulnerable to an attack. Instead of sending supplies to our soldiers, we could spend time as well as money on improving our defensive systems. Also instead of wasting the lives of our citizens, we could save them for when it is necessary to have a war. If we didn't spend millions of dollars from taxes, we could repair cities, build homes for the poor, and donate money to third ruled countries. This is only but one reason that fighting this war was the wrong choice for America.

The second most important reason that the war on terror was a ghastly decision is that fifty-five percent of Americans say that the United States of America is now more divided than united since the beginning of the war. In a similar situation, two major political parties have different perspectives on this urgent matter. Later, these perspectives will cause our citizens to bicker on the situation. Without this war, our country could be more kind to each other, because we would not have to worry about citizens who do not approve the actions of our government. In addition, we could peacefully plan care actions to solve our issues with the Iraqi people. However, if this war does not cease, our civilians who do not ratify of our actions, will rebel...
