We all have different cultural education specially in Miami where many Hispanic people live, but we all not have the same background, by the contrary even though we are a Latin community we came from different countries and have a diverse background. In my experience as bedside buddy volunteer at the Nicklaus Children Hospital, I have had the opportunity to interact with people of different cultural, ethical and socioeconomic backgrounds, in which I have been trained to create and maintain a respectful environment among employees and patients. In addition, I have learned to adopt certain behaviors that communicate respect to others.
