Visions of the Future, if a company does not have this ability to see into the future, their organization may fail. An organization must be able to project into the future to see their potential win falls. When you are the CEO of an organization it is your obligation to see to the needs of your company. The CEO is responsible for nurturing the company to potential growth. The organization must grow and become successful but must still stay true to its vision, values, and core purpose. They must not change their core purpose or vision, rather then must change the situation to fit their core purpose and vision. Vision is there to provide you with guidance about which core purpose to save and preserve and what will be used to stimulate growth toward your desired goal. According to James Collins and Jerry I Porras, “a well-conceived vision consists of two major components: core ideology and envisioned future.” (pg.66) Core ideology defines the characteristics of the organization; these characteristics follow the organization through any and all of the organizations endeavors. “Core ideology provides the glue that holds the organization together through time” (Collins, Porras, pg 66) Core values are things that are important to the company. They may have only intrinsic value. For example, Walt Disney Company’s core value is to provide good family values and wholesome programs that are geared to quality, ethical, and moral connotation. Core purpose is the reason that you are there. A core purpose is the underlying reason why you exist as an organization. You are there to provide a service, a product, something that is too be contributed to the society as a whole.
