Underage Drinking

      It’s been known what alcohol does to the average human body, it changes the way

people normally react. It does this by directly going to the cerebrum of the brain, which

throws off senses, judgment, speech, and understanding. For the average middle age man,

alcohol can change your entire personality, but for the average teenager, it does so much

more. There’s really no point in me telling that the drinking age should be raised, mostly

because that has no effect on the problem presented here. I think that no matter what the

legal drinking age is, teenagers will still consume alcohol. I just think that teens should be

more aware about the problems they will face in the future, if they drink.

      Since teenagers are young, and our bodies are still growing, alcohol can take a

major effect on our vital organs. Even though peer pressure is hard to say no to, say no

anyway, it could save your life. Alcohol has an affect on our whole body, leaving side

effects after the drinking takes place. Such as pregnancy, hangovers, depression, or even

suicide. Alcohol is a leading cause of death among youth, particularly teenagers. It’s

mostly just because of most teens thinking that alcohol can make everything more fun,

and it doesn’t. I just think that during high school the teachers and principles should take

more action in showing the students how alcohol can affect your life.

      On the other hand, (I don’t believe any of this,) drinking can make any event 10

times more worth while. Teen’s these days look forward to getting alcohol, saying “I

can’t wait until the weekend when I get a ton of beer!” Life just isn’t complete until you

get completely drunk. Of course it’s better to do it with friends, which also leads to other

drugs, such as Marijuana, cocaine, etc. Teens that are drinking these days in age aren’t

alcoholics, yet.

      Teens just don’t understand what’s going to happen...
