In all the good advice given by Morrie to Mitch in the book and in the movie one

piece really stood out to me. This piece of advice was that you shouldn't just follow

along with society in it's actions and views on people or objects. What this means is that

you shouldn't agree with something or someone just because it will make you accepted

or get you an increase in pay.

The reason I chose this piece was the moral value behind it. I also chose it based

on the fact that I agree with what Morries is saying. I also understand how I can learn

from it and how I already try to do exactly what he is saying. The way I can best explain

how I already do that is by simply saying that I don't have a desire to be a rich snob and

that I like being where I am. One example of this might be of Mitch really. He has

forgetten what Morrie had told him during his college years. Currently being a sports

writer people expect him to write more and more about athletes and games that would

make those people happy.

It relating to life is true for me is in the sense that I like living the simple life and

doing things that really make me happy and will not just gratify me for a few weeks or

months. If I ever do become rich I will help as many people as I can. I would hope

that other people would do the same.
