Job Training
There are 3 different types of job training. These include on the job training which is training at the located work place, off the job training which is more training than actually working and is located other than the official work place, lastly there is induction training which is training you receive when joining a new company.
On the job training
The advantages of on the job training are:-
Ø Producing work for the company.
Ø It is much cheaper for the company than other training.
Ø For the employee work would be more comfortable when starting the job, as the employee would know the work place and staff.
The disadvantages of on the job training are:-
Ø Bad practice may be passed down from trainer to trainee.
Ø Mistakes made by the trainee may affect the company as it would lead to poor customer services.
Ø The company wouldn't have many experienced worker.
Ø Trainer may not be a good trainer as they might not be training for a long time.
Off the job training
The advantages of off the job training are:-
Ø Trainers are good at training as they do it as their job every day.
Ø No mistakes are made, which affect the business.
Ø The company wouldn't have inexperienced workers working for them.
Ø No bad practice is passed down as trainer would be professionals.
The disadvantages of off the job training are:-
Ø No work is produced for the company while training.
Ø It is more expensive for the company.
Ø New employees aren't familiar with the staff and workplace.
