Introduction
2011 has been declared the “Year of Tourism in Azerbaijan. Its capital Baku is going to be home for a flagship event-“Eurovision Song Contest”- this year. Although its small area, as a result of dramatic variety of its landscape Azerbaijan hosts nine of possible eleven distinct climate zones from subtropical to alpine climates. Thanks to its broad range of natural environment the nature is quite rich and colorful in this country offering the visitor spectacular scenery. Azerbaijan which is blessed with historically rich religious diversity, interesting cities to explore, unusual foods, exotic smells is able to redevelop its tourism industry broadly.
Although tourism is considered to be important sector of Azerbaijan economy, there is a lack of researches and statistics in the sphere. Hoping to contribute to the problem, this essay deals with
