The Titanic departed the morning of April 12, 1912, 84 years ago from the time the movie was filmed. A fortune hunter, Brock Lovett searching for a priceless treasure where the Titanic had sank, found nothing except drawings and a few accessories. An announcement on TV prompted one of the last survivors of the Titanic, Rose DeWitt Bukater to contact Brock. She stated she was the woman in the drawing. He made an arrangement for her to come onto his boat.
Brock and his crew gave a forensic analysis of how the ship sank but Rose explained the true experience was very much different. Rose started to tell the story of Titanic, just as she lived it: “I can still smell the fresh paint,” says Rose “The china had never been used, and the sheets have never been slept in” Titanic was called the ship of dreams and it was; it really was. As the old Rose looked into the shipwreck, she was taking back to the moment in time when she came out of a very luxurious antique car with a beautiful white suit-dress with black stripes and a purple hat. For Rose, Titanic was just a slave ship. ”Outside, I was everything a well brought up girl should be, but inside I was screaming,” said Rose.
As passengers boarded the ship, Jack Dawson and his friend Fabrizio were trying to win a hand of poker and won their tickets. They were so ecstatic that they almost missed the ship. Titanic was the biggest ship ever made. The other boats next to the Titanic appeared to be like small birds. It was breathtaking and truly eye catching to see the Titanic on the ocean.
That afternoon, Rose was having lunch with her mother, Ruth DeWitt Bukater, her wealthy fiancé, Caledon Hockley, Mr. Thomas Andrew, the shipbuilder, Mr. Bruce Ismay, a businessman and Molly Brown, known to history as "The Unsinkable Molly Brown."
