Thiggy the Chicken Boy

Once upon a time, in a land called Alabreamia, stood the little town of Arlinka. Arlinka, was nestled in the country side, with no shopping centers near by. The main road to the town was lined with country homes, and farms with all sorts of cattle, and farm life on them. It wasn’t unusual to see cows grazing near the fences by the main road, or see gunnies, or chickens wandering aimlessly about town. It was here where Mrs.Hoodski met Thiggy, the chicken boy.

Thig Wandersworth lived in Arlinka. Thiggy, to his friends would often get into trouble, even when his intentions were the best, which was often far and few between. He was a country boy; he wore dirty britches, a t-shirt with long underwear under it, and an old pair of sneakers. He always appeared to just be waking up from a winter’s nap. Hair tossed about, in need of a trim. He was a rather daring lad, who seemed to have no real common sense about him. Thiggy went to school at Meerlinka High; he was in the tenth grade. Thiggy loved to challenge his teachers at Meerlinka, always testing their patience. He enjoyed devious plots, like open cans of deer scent, or filling jars with pudding and yellow Gatorade, making it appear someone had trouble finding the bathrooms. The children loved and abhorred the boy at the same time. Mostly when his curious nature involved one or more of them, or would get the entire class into trouble.

One day, while at school, Thiggy saw a newcomer to the parts of Arlinka. Her name was Mrs. Hoodski. She was a substitute teacher, who truly enjoyed her job. Mrs. Hoodski had substituted at Meerlinka, in its picturesque countryside before, and had heard of this boy, but did not know him well.
