Billions of dollars are lost each year because corporate leadership has failed to realize the diversity issues that play a role in their corporation. Identifying the potential roadblocks to success that intergenerational diversity may present, and turning multigenerational knowledge, talent, experience, and opinions into strengths, can provide companies with an unbelievable advantage in today's competitive business environment.
Intergenerational Conflicts
Many companies do not recognize the impact of generational diversity. The companies have the expectations of one generations but leave out the expectations of other generations, which cause the alienation of half of their staffers. Intergenerational conflicts typically rise due to several factors: a sense of belonging, a theme of learning, entrepreneurship, and security.
