How the Beatles Revolutionized Music
The Beatles were a hot British pop- rock band. The Beatles consisted of John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr. They were from Liverpool, England. The Beatles manager was George Martin. Their big success brought America and Great Britain closer together. They were the only foreign group to make it so well in America. The Beatles developed a new genre of music that set the pace. Their sound was not like everyone else; it was their own. Their kind of music was a mix between American rock n roll and rhythm and blues. Their songs also had a very catchy tune. They were the last group in history to develop a new kind of music.
This made people start to want to listen to music again. Their pioneering spirit ended up leading us today to the multimillion dollar music industry. The Beatles revolutionized music in many ways. They changed how a great number of musicians are today because they changed the ways are songs are developed, they were trend setters, and they have the most influential album ever.
The Beatles revolutionized our music today because they changed the way our songs are developed. The Beatles’ song writing was also different from that of other bands from their time. Their meter was square, the main beat was accentuated, the syncopation was at a minimum, and the harmony was modal.(cyber.2) They played a wide variety of musical instruments. Initially, the Beatles were a guitar and drum band. In the course of their career, every member became a multi-instrumentalist. George Harrison played the lead guitar and also introduced such exotic instruments as ukulele, Indian sitars, flutes, tabla, darbouka, and tampur drums. John Lennon played a variety of guitars, keyboards, harmonicas and horns. Paul McCartney played bass guitar, acoustic guitar, piano and keyboards, as well as over 40 other musical instruments.
