Television, Americas best friend, the one place were we can get every thing we want, entertainment, news, weather, sports you can even listen to music on that boxed friend of yours. Many people say that the television is a bad thing and makes you stupid. Although I used to think that the television was the best invention in the world, now after realizing that watching television pushes brain activity from the left side of the brain to the right it will no longer be a big part of my life.
Ever since I was a young child the television has been a big part of me, I always loved to watch the big screen. I can remember my favorite shows as a young child such as power rangers, Rocco’s modern world, Barney, the Flintstones, and speed racer. After school I would race home to catch the next episode. I held the television as my educator because school was boring and I figured that I could learn every thing in the world that I needed to know from the television. For example the television show Barney taught me to love one another, clean my messes, honesty, and sharing with my peers which are very valuable life lessons. If there was ever a bully bullying me at school I would be able to defend myself because of the fighting that I could react to from watching the power rangers, Or even if the speed racer could teach me how to drive at the young age of five. My parents tried to skew me away from the television but I liked it too much.
Even with the age that I am at now I find the television very interesting and entertaining. Now days I'm not glued to the television but I spend some time watching it. I really like to watch the Yankees when they play baseball, and the Giants when they play football its something that completes my day when I watch my two teams play.
