A team is a number of person associated together in a work or activity, who can be identified by themselves and others a team who patron task that affect other individuals and groups. One reason people form groups is because groups accomplish things one person can't do alone and to hello fulfill social needs. The great thespian William Shakespeare had his character Jacques speak the following memorable lines in Act 2 of As you Like It: "All the worlds a stage, and all the men and women merely players; they have their exits and their entrances; and one man in his time plays many parts." According to an OB scholar, "roles are a set of behavior that a person expects of occupants of a position. This being said, every team role players have important parts to play. Every team has to have role players and a leader. Everyone one the team must be willing or cooperate and work together for the greater good.
Oftentimes conflict arises within a team due to role overload the sum total of what roles players expect of the to do, values, ethics, or personal standards collide with others expectations. Thus slowing progress and sometimes resulting in team overload. For instance my experiences in work place as a team player consisted of a supervisor, team leader, and operators. Everyday we had a certain goal to accomplish and if, one person or tam didn't do their part of resulted in an extra workload on other individuals of the or not accomplishing our goal all together. The leader of a team plays one of get most vital roles on a team. The leaser reduces both conflict and ambiguity. In this endeavor, a manager can use feedback, formal rules and procedures directive leadership, setting of specific difficult goals, and participation.
