Abstract

Team communication can be defined as communication among people who share a common goal, who find a sense of belonging to the team, and who exert influence on one another. Communication is highly structured and has additional attributes to every team member. Team communication goals are clear, specific and have clearly defined responsibilities. The expectation about how communication is clearly stated and usually developed is a clear way of coordinating its efforts. Team communication goals are usually very specific and measured. People who belong to a team usually have a clear sense of their particular role or function on the team. In a team each member has an understanding of how his or her job or responsibility helps the team achieve its major goals. If one team member is absent, other members know what needs to be done to accomplish that person’s responsibilities because of communication disciplinary. Understanding other team members’ and responsibilities helps the team to work more effectively. Communication amongst a group of people or team members also tends to be quite hectic at times. Certain team members might not be up too date with information needed and in doing so before the team is even created or formed the competence, collaboration and innovation of every team member should be measured seeing that without anyone of those it becomes a major disadvantage to what the team is trying to accomplish.
