Communication in teams can lead to greater results and improved efficiency towards a common goal.   Many different types of communication are available to people these days which makes communication easier now than ten years ago.   Some people believe that working in teams produces better results. Without team communication, the results could be worse than if only one person were to take on the project.   These days there are many reasons that a company may use team communication; quicker feedback, different ideas, and different perspective on the situation can result in a better product with fewer faults.  
“Communication is the key that unlocks every million dollar idea.” (Boland, 2008) Communication is very important these days especially with the growing competition in the market place, but even at a smaller scale teams that communicate well tend to yield better results than a single person working to achieve the same goal.   “Having effective team communication skills is a crucial requirement for both leaders and team members alike. It allows you to establish harmonious relationships, fully understand the team's intention, share your ideas easily, and even impress other team members.” Lee, M. (2008) Listening to what others say in your team is crucial to effective team communication. If you are not trying to understand what the other person is trying to get across, then valuable information may be lost and the end result may not be the same goal. Understanding what the other person said helps the team to figure out solutions to problems quicker and with less confusion.
