1. Charles Darnay- A virtuous, honest, courageous French Aristocrat who chooses to live in England because he does not want to be connected with the cruel injustices of the French Social System, he also a member of the notorious Evrémonde family.

Sydney Carton- A rude, apathetic, and alcoholic attorney who works with Stryver, he has no real goals in life, Sydney loves Lucie and she eventually changes him into a superior man, who dies in Charles place.

Monsieur Defarge- The wine shop owner, a avant-garde man in St. Antoine of Paris, he used to be a servant for Doctor Manette, and has proved himself as a intellectual and innate leader.

2. Doctor Manette- Lucie’s pleasant, devoted father, once was a inmate at Bastille, and is now a brilliant doctor, who makes shoes as a pastime.

Lucie Manette- Doctor Manette’s daughter, who grew up in an English orphanage because she didn’t know her father was alive(imprisoned at the time), is an epitome of enthusiasm.

3. The Wine Shop- Is a cold, dark pub in Paris.   This is where Dr. Manette is brought and where most of the revolutionary planning takes place.

Bastille- Where Dr. Manette was held for 18 years. Bastille is the French prison that is first take over by the revolutionaries.

4. Dr. Alexander Manette was a prisoner in the Bastille for 18 years.   He is released and taken back to London by Jarivs Lorry of Tellson bank.   Dr. Manette is a little crazy because of all the years he spent locked up in solitary confinement.   He has a daughter, Lucie, who was a little girl when he was sent to prison.   On a boat trip, Lucie meets a man named Charles Darnay and is taken with him.   Darnay is a Frenchman, but has relinquished the title of his nobility.   He is tried for treason in England.   However Darnay's lawyer Sydney Carton gets him acquitted by saying how much he and Darnay look alike, so the witness could not make a correct identification.   By this time, Lucie has...
