We all know that Angono, Rizal is the Art Capital of the Philippines so our group decides to visit one of the famous landmarks in this place. Balaw-Balaw Restaurant and Art Gallery is what we have chosen for our SWOT Analysis project.
Balaw-Balaw Restaurant and Art Gallery is having uniqueness on offering exotics foods and a gallery inside the restaurant. When we are inside, we’re amazed on what we see— simply native in style, hanging different kind of mask, paper mache, a simple garden beside the restaurant, mini figures of giant, paintings which is for sale, different sculptures, old articles and news features Perdigon Vocalan and the restaurant and the panalubong area or the souvenir items.
Going to Balaw-Balaw Restaurant is so easy because it is along the highway of Angono, Rizal. It is located at 16 Doña Justa Subdivision PhaseI Angono, Rizal.
My favorite spot is the panalubong corner. You can see this area beside as you enter in the restaurant. It attracts me on the word panalubong or what we called pasalubong or pang salubong. This souvenir items are small figures of higantes, mask or paper mache and the balaw-balaw in the bottle.
My groupmates and I ordered Nilasing na Palaka, Adobong Uok (some of the exotics foods which is available for that day) and Sinigang na Baboy for our lunch. Uok is a kind of worm that is in coconut tree or simply coconut worm. It is my first try to eat exotics foods that’s why it is so challenging to eat. Nilasing na palaka is look-a-like fried chicken but if you taste it, its like a fried fish. And, the adobong uok is so weird meal. It’s so gross when I
