Children's Hospital of San Diego is a non-profit organization with a mission "to restore, sustain and enhance the health and developmental potential of children (Children's, 2005)". The projects office monitors the flow of projects through the organization and ensures that all projects receive administrative, scientific and the appropriate ethical reviews. This group also evaluates projects for feasibility of implementation and monitors compliance with research policies and procedures. The office of grants and contracts assists investigators with application submissions to funding agencies as well as providing guidance and oversight of post-award expenditures. This group is also responsible for ensuring compliance with grants administration policy and procedures.
