Owning a business is a dream to most Americans and at the same time, some Americans would rather work for someone else. Furthermore, this American dream involves many headaches, hard work and dedication but additionally, owning a business such as CJ’S Pressure Wash Service, LLC involves much strategic management and planning in order to allow for success. Therefore, a complete outlook on the necessary strategies for a successful pressure washing business will be discussed and will include the mission, vision, values, SWOTT analysis, strategies and tactics and communication plan for CJ’S Pressure Wash Service.
What is the significance of strategic management and planning to a business? The management and planning aspect of a company coincides with each other to determine the organization’s mission, vision, values, goals, objectives, roles and responsibilities and timelines. Management and planning are tools that are necessary to reach targeted goals, responding to changing environments and the allowance for optimal performance. Usually a company’s mission statement sets the standards for good management and planning strategies, therefore, a company’s mission statement should address some of the following: Why is the firm in business?, What are the economic goals?, What is their philosophy in terms of quality, company image, and self-concept?, What are the core competencies and competitive advantages?, What customers can and will be serve?, And what are the company’s responsibilities to stockholders, employees, communities, environments, social issues, and competitors? Some or all these factors should be included in a mission statement and all members of the organization must understand and abide by the statement to ensure smooth organization operations and good teamwork.
