After watching the soprano’s intro, it can only really be described as a story line that looks dark and twisted with the main story taking place in New Jersey. The music helps elevate this feel by having a low bass beat with almost a blues feel to it. The image of tony the main character driving out of the city to his nice suburban home really helps to show some background of the story without even getting into it.
My take on the intro was just like how it was shown. It showed the street side of New Jersey and considering that the background of the TV show deals with the mob the pictures that they used really brought out that feel in the intro. The music really works with the intro when you hear the lines “ Woke up this morning got yourself a gun, Mama always said you’d be the chosen one.” That really ties into the show well for anyone that has actually watched an episode or two.
