‘Sometimes we need to accept change in order to grow.’
Accepting change in order to grow can change who you are as a person or what you see with the rest of your life. Personality, appearance, opinions, religions and backgrounds of people all relate to who you are a person and what you believe in. Accepting change into your life could go either allow you to lose something good or gain something even better. Your personality could change either making you a better person or disadvantaging you as a person but either way it’s a learning experience and from this you can grow. If we don’t change we don’t grow and if we don’t grow we aren’t really living.
In the ‘summer of the seventeenth doll’ Olive 's dream is the lay-off season and all its meaning. Once you’ve accepted it you live your life to fit around the change that you’ve made. With reference to the summer of the seventeenth doll, olive accepted that she didn’t want the same as roo did and grew by leaving and furthering her life outside of what she is use to. Isaac from the fault in our stars changed by learning to love himself even if he doesn’t have the same vision as he use to and I myself learnt that it doesn’t matter if you’re different from others, if your life changes and you accept that it’s changing then it won’t impact you as much as you think. To truly accept change we must be willing to let go of the life we have planned, so we can have the life that is waiting for
