Computers are a key part in modeling the lives and shape of the next generation. Over the past years computers have become amazing devices that allow the working community to store, receive, send, and share information with one another. Due to the rapid increase in technology computers have evolved from big boxes that filled the room to handheld portable machines zipped up in a bag. Professionals say that if the car industry was to live up to the computer industry, a decent car would be worth a dollar each. It’s not only the manufacturers that have done a superb job, but its also the programmers who spend their time to make software for the customers. By the next hundred years, technology will rain down upon as the people will control their every thought and action.
Is borrowing somebody else’s idea stealing? Are there laws that state that the person who borrowed the specific ideas without legal rights will be penalized? Must a person obtain copyright laws or legal rights for a certain product? Without copyright law, would you be able to share your work with the world? When a person buys a copy of an item he or she does not realize that somebody or someone has taken time to create that specific object. However, in another situation for example furniture, the buyer checks to see where it’s made in, what the quality of the material is, the shape of the object, and other factors which determine whether quality is ensured. Copying somebody else’s work with legal rights and the permission of the owner is allowed. Stealing the creator's idea is prohibited and if caught with an illegal object there could be harsh consequences. Any where in the world if someone is seen dealing or even talking about the piracy of something with copyright infringement can be questioned, but how about when your burning a CD or downloading music off a P2P program. Doesn't the surfer realize he is stealing someone else’s work? When someone is using Microsoft Office that was burned off...
