1. What are your reasons for volunteering?
-“I volunteer because I get to see the happy faces when people adopt a healthy dog/cat. Also, it’s a good and fun way to receive community service hours for college.”
2. What is the purpose of the organization for which you volunteer?
-“I volunteer for a veterinarian and they help abused, sick, and stray animals get better, And they help those animals get new loving families.”
3. What duties do you perform to aid the organization?
-“I clean out dog/cat cages, sweep the floor, walk the dogs, hold the animals when being examined, and converse with the patients’ owners.”
4. Why is such an organization needed in your community?
-“Animal hospitals are needed in our community because animals get hurt and sick, just like us humans do. We have doctors to help us get better, and animals have vets to help them.”
5. What rewards do you receive from your volunteer work?
-“I get rewarded in doggy licks and community services hours.”
6. What challenges are faced by volunteers in your organization?
-“The only challenge is if we get misbehaved animals they we cannot control.”
7. What has volunteer work helped you learn about yourself?
-“Volunteering has taught me that I am more patient than I thought I was.”
8. What have you done that you feel has significantly touched the life of another person?
-“I have given my sincerest condolences to owners whose pets had to be put down. Telling them it’s going to be okay. And helping them find a new pet to possibly replace to deceased one.”

-“I’ve always wanted to volunteer, but never really had the chance. Now that I do…I love it!”

-“Yes; for anything that brings smiles to people. Making people smile is priceless.”
