Obesity in American College age Students

Topic: lack of exercise in college age students.
Specific Purpose: To inform my audience about how more college age students are becoming obese.
Thesis Statement: Children are becoming obese in college than ever before because of lack of exercise
Introduction:
Imagine how you would feel coming to a new place to live and have to try and fit in being larger.
A problem that is facing new college students is that more and more are becoming obese because they are not moving around as much.
In order to not become one of these college students there are some things that you can do.
Today I will be talking about how the lack of exercise in college age students is greatly contributing to the overwhelming epidemic of obesity.
Body
Being self conscious can affect the way you feel.
The need to fit in and to be accepted is one of the most important things that new college students strive for.
Not being accepted can cause students to become depressed and fall into bad eating habits.
If someone thinks that they are not in shape already they may be too embarrassed to go to the gym.
Transition: with more distractions at college than ever, students are less likely to exercise and go to the gym.
Children at college are becoming more obese than ever before and there are many factors that contribute to lack of exercise an example of this can be as follows.
One of the factors that contribute to this epidemic is the overloaded work and activity schedule.
Go to class and come back to sit in dorm all day and study.

High expectations form work
Technology advances are also making it easy for students to communicate without getting out of seat.
Students are not walking around as much to see...
