Factory Siam Winery Co. Ltd.

Siam Winery Co. Ltd, Winery Bevarages Manufacturing factory, is located on 9/2 moo 3 Bangtorat district, Muang, Samutsakorn Province. A manufacturing process is divided into 2 main production lines which are Wine Cooler and Still Wine. Both of the product lines are sold domestically and internationally. Also the company has been given GMP, HACCP and ISO 9001:2000 for their manufacturing standard.
As for an improvment process using clean teachnology project, the production of Wine cooler (the main product lines) is studied. The production capacity is around 15 millions liters per year. The production process involves preparation of raw material, ¡ÒÃËÁÑ¡ ¡ÒúèÁ, the mixture of materials and bottling process. According to the first evaluation, we are acknowledged that the use of clean water in mixture process is the main problem that needs to be improve. Thus, detailed studied on water usage in mixture process is conducted and found that most of the problems occurred are from the use of different quantity of water and the types of water using to clearify, Demineralization (DI)
Therefore, to increase an efficiency of water resources to optimal level, clean technology is proposed as followed:

Proposals to improve water usage in production process
First Proposal
It is recommended to change the clearifying water in cleaning process from Demineralization (DI) water to Soft water, then follow by DI water for final wash instead of using only one type of clearifying water (DI). By this mean, the company can save up the production cost in cleaning process from 168,000 baht per year to 88,800 baht per year (DI water costs 77.08 cubic meter). In another word, 79,200 baht is saved per year for using 7 cubic meter of Soft water to clean per day and 1.2 cubic meter of DI water for final wash per day. However, the company needs to...
