Romeo And Juliet

Shakespeare's play Romeo and Juliet shows us how people can be doomed in Love, even if their passion for each other is burly. From the beginning of the play we can see that both Romeo and Juliet have similar lifestyles and in turn similar personalities. Both of them appear to be very haste in their actions not thinking what will happen to others around them. They were both also very sneaky in the way they loved and met with each other behind the backs of their families. They are also both stubborn and do not see or listen to other people's advice and ideas.

Making the decision to wed is something which many people take years to decide on, however we see in Rome and Juliet that this is not the case. Their decision to wed after such a short time is one which largely affected their relationship. Their decision was made out of lust rather than of true love. This hasty decision created an awkward situation for the couple as Capulet made the decision for Juliet to marry Paris. This lead to Juliet making a quick decision on taking the "fake death" potion in order to avoid marrying Paris. If both Romeo and Juliet had taken their time and slowed things down and also been more open about their relation ship and not so sneaky they would not have had the situation that occurred.

Although both the Capulet's and Montague's have a hatred for one and other it was one which had most likely been passed on through generation. Being passed on through generations this feud between the present Montague's and Capulet's would not have as much anger as it did at the beginning of the feud. This in turn could have played in favor for the two lovers but due to them both being sneaky and unwilling to inform their families they were unable to both sort out their families differences and have an open relationship. Their decision not to was a major factor in the demise of their relationship and in turn life's.
