1. Review of the previous research
From reading, I recognized the purpose of this study is to research the use of various HRM practices, at the organizations in Nigeria, and its perceived challenges and prospects.
After having considered literature review written in this article, I realized that the author has used several literatures on HRM challenges and prospects which are considerable in developing countries. Those studies identified several HRM practices, challenges, that managers facing, which its finding is used to theoretical and practical insights in the developing countries context.
Generally, those theories are about the concept and knowledge of HRM practices and traditional functions, including recruitment and selection, training and development, performance appraisal, compensation, reward system, etc.
Particularly, theories have pointed out the normal training practices used as informal workplace, one-on-one, or majority as outside sponsored by firms. Inversely, few firms have not provided training, used of advertising or employment agencies. In other hand, theories have indicated the necessary of encouraging managers to conduct experiment with innovative new recruitment schemes and methods, to increase the efficiency, such as word-of-mouth/ or internal recruitment. However, the informal recruitment and selection has its advantages in compared to new ones.
In conclusion, there is substantial mix of HRM practice in SMEs organizations, which recruitment and selection is more used among others. The most HRM challenges are training and employee relations. These are appreciably related to organization productivity. Through the research, the author has already identified closely literature review to the research.
