Resolution to make all public buildings smoke free

"I'd be in my hotel room, smoking too much, drinking, going to clubs, just being numb. That was being in jail to me. I wasn't happy at all on the streets. That was the addict speaking." Tupac Shakur revealed this hidden unhappiness in a quote. This leads me into standing and urging everyone to vote in a firm negation of this resolution to make all public buildings smoke free..

Reasons:
1. "Assimilation Effect"
2. Hypocritical
3. Violates Americans with Disabilities Act

1. "Assimilation Effect"

According to Seattle Post, with 320 million smokers, smoking is "closest thing to national pastime in China
45% of males in Greece smoke
Are we just going to invoke animosity by telling these people that we were too good for their cigarettes? This will also hurt businesses.

2. Hypocritical
Cigarettes are legal for adults
U.S. taxes cigarettes

How could U.S. be so hypocritical as to ban a taxed and legal item from being used in public buildings.

3. Violates Americans with Disabilities Act

The nicotine in cigarettes is addictive. When a person is addicted, it is a disease, as relating to the quote in my introduction.
I also have an addiction, caffeine… On Yom Kippur I got withdrawal headaches, this is what we would be subjecting smokers to and this is not right

Making existing facilities used by employees readily accessible to and usable by persons with disabilities
By saying smokers, disabled persons cannot smoke, that is violating the act.
Are we saying that seeing-eye dogs should not be allowed??

Conclusion: In conclusion, I stand before you all today urging you to vote negative on this bill and uphold the constitution, stop forced assimilation, and stop the hypocracy.
