This propossal will point out some issues that will make the companie work more efficient, will reduce some costs, and will make departments work in conjunction with each other.
Donor Relations Department. Some improvements that can be done to this department in order to be more efficient and cost effective, are to hire a donor relations specialist (DRS) par time for each one of the Recruiters, By doing this the company will be saving money on having to pay benefits to such person, by having six DRS’s part time instead of three full time, the benefits will be enormous, meanning that each DRR will have aid for his/hers blood drive, instead of having to fight over the DRS, this will also mean that the DRS will be fresh for working, instead of having the same 40 hours person working ten days in a row. In average DRR do not have more than 20 hours of drives during the week, that some weeks the 40 hours DRS does not complete his/hers hours and this means the 40 hour employee needs to make up for the hours. So they just clock in and do clerical work which is not needed. One example can be when one DRS nedded six hours to complete the 40 hours, so this individual just clocked in for six hours, not being productive.
Other improvement that can be done, is hiring a manager or supervisor that takes responsibility of the department, whenever the Director is not in the office. This can immprove the quality of service DRR will give to coordinators by having immediate responses toissues that might arise. Also Directors need somebody to be there incase something happen to such Director (sucessor).
