Kudler Foods Problem Statement
The growth expected by Kudler Foods within the next five years has given the organization an opportunity to achieve optimal success. During this time Kudler must obtain the highest level of efficiency by using updated technology and employees in their specialty area. Current management needs to understand to accomplish there long term goals a different approach must be taken toward delegating duties. During this change technology must follow this trend of change and become more productive, allowing the key parts of management to flow toward the core values in which Kudler holds. Kudler initial success was created by forming a niche market in delivering fine food products at an affordable price with a level of customer service that is not given at other large grocers. Due to the nature of providing fine foods to its customers Kulder Food rotates its shelf inventory every two or three days. This leads to heightened food cost and potential profits. Currently Kudler does not have a process to ensure appropriate stocking levels independent of each store as well collectively.
Often experienced during expansion of a company it experiences what are commonly known as growing pains. There are some combatants to this but often companies must work through. Companies which can sustain this growth while upgrading and preparing the company for the growth will more then not come out ahead in the end. When Kudler foods first started managing the ordering and inventory was a process that Kathy Kudler owner of Kudler foods under took. This process due to control and financial concerns was necessary.
