It is easy to point out a number of stereotypes in America that we see today. In

the movie "Crash" all different stereotypes are given in detail and the trails and tribulations

each character goes through. The one i found most facincating throughout the film is the

police officers. In the movie police officers and shown as egotistical jerks that use their

power with the law abusively which is what most people think of police officers. Not all are

like that though, this is just one of the stereotypes that they have to face everyday with the

job they have chosen.

One scene in particular that stands out to me when I think of the movie "Crash" is

when the police officer pulls over a black couple and sees the women performing some kind

of sexual act on the man driving. He asks the couple to step out of the car and begins to

search the couple. He gets to the women and completely violates her by touching her

innapropiately but neither husband or wife says anything because he is the law and there is

nothing they can do. By the end of the scene we cannot stand this guy. But in the end of

the movie the same women he pulled over gets in a horrible car crash and the police officer

who violated her ends up being the only one there to help her. She refuses help and yells at

him to get away but if he doesn't help her she will die. He ends up saving her life and she

thankful for him. At this point we end up loving him for saving her life and it shows that he

isn't such a bad guy. He regrets what he did to her before and knows it was wrong. I don't

think he will be abusing his rights as a police officer anymore.
