Cooper’s Creek wine is a fine New Zealand export which is seeking to expand further into Asia. Three countries were chosen based on their markets, policies and importing needs for wine. The countries were analyzed based on various economic standpoints, current political situations and growth potential. The data collected has shown one country to lead the rest in major market segments as well as in advertising and distribution channels. Cooper’s Creek is to be imported to, distributed throughout and sold in South Korea.
3 Country Analysis
The three countries that were chosen to be analyzed had to meet specific political, economic, social and technological criteria. The selection process sought after politically free and fair policies, stable wealth and growth, social acceptance of moderate western practices and the means by which to run an efficient supply chain and create value though precise management, which requires a certain level of technological development. To thoroughly explain the terms of specific standards needed for wine export, further comparisons of GDP vs purchasing power, and aspects like population vs income were utilized to show an economic overview. While things like growth% vs unemployment and national debt vs jobs by selector as well as imports vs. export, gives an insight to wealth distribution along with the way of life for these starkly different nations.
The initial countries were chosen based on the group knowledge of Asia, expectations we have for a proper market entry point and research collected about the countries chosen. A combination of perhaps recently acquired knowledge about Eastern business and customer style, as well as general information such as news broad casts that would deter our group from exporting to North Korea, Israel, Iraq or Mongolia.
