1. Introduction:
The goal of this assignment is to create a portfolio of evidence for a specific position in an organisation. This includes a job description, competency profile, recruitment advertisement, list of selection questions, induction plan as well as the training and development will be made available to the person filling this position.

I have chosen a company called Retail Africa, a retail developer. A friend of mine called Carianne works for them and her job is to deal with property rights and town planning issues, she is the site assembly and zoning manager. She is a qualified lawyer and has been working for them for over a year. Due to council inefficiencies and the subsequent delays in obtaining property rights, she requires an assistant in order for her to devote her time to high level strategic planning in this business stream. This assignment will therefore be focussed on acquiring a PA for Carianne.

2. Company Background:
Retail Africa carries out property development, property investment and property management activities. It is a dynamic, entrepreneurial company, operating in retail development, funding and leasing markets. They invest in property as much as in people. The success of the company is based on a combination of intellectual capital, flair and experience. There are three stages in property development, namely site assembly and zoning, design and lastly construction.
