Patriots and True Americans
In news today you hear about patriots over and over again on
television or in newspapers mostly concerning the War in Iraq. The
statements given about patriots are false these days. Patriots are long
gone with the framers of the constitution. Patriots were figures represented
back in the revolution. The people who are considered patriots today are
actually just good hearted americans in society. These people represent
the small amount of citizenship in America that can hold true to being true
Americans. These handful of people have certain parts to their persona that make
them who they are and what they possess
is the standards for a true American.
The most logical fact that can depict a good American is using the right to
vote. The most simple way to begin being a good American, voting can alter a lot
of governmental
views. You would think, \\\"one vote won\\\'t change anything,\\\" but
really think of how many people say that every election. The difference in possible
voters and actual voters is enough to change an election. an example of this would
be the 2000 election between Gore and Bush. There might not even have been a
recount if every American citizen had put forth a vote and made the contribution
in the election. It is a right that many others had to fight for many years ago and
now it is overlooked dramatically because people do not take the time to care or
get up and make a difference. This is a quick easy way to start becoming a real
American. This makes you more American because not only the fact that others
faught for that right but other countries...
