Good Morning:

in confidence, i have to tell you...

i was very happy Mr Wall addressed and punished. the situation that occurred in his class on Tuesday. As a parent last year i started struggling with the idea of coming to you about the same individual causing constant disruptions in class. (inappropriate sounds ect) From what I understand last year it was primarily Mrs Hollicks classes. i am by no means saying my child is perfect but i think sometimes if the teachers know another teachers /family's personal situation they feel bad and don't take action when ultimately they are not doing that child any

Mr. Hittson I totally apologize for Coltens actions. He is definately being raised better than that. I have had a long talk with him over this issue. I noticed this morning Colten seemed upset about something when he got dropped off. When he got into the school I texted him and told him to not let anything deter him in school if he is upset. He has been having girlfriend issues that I have been trying to guide him through and I think that is what has been wrong with him. He's usually not like this. He is being raised in a very good home with good guidance. I told him I will not tolerate him using profanity and disrespecting the teachers or the school. I also told him that in the future if he acts the same with future bosses, then he will be…

He was very positive with them but had a lack of rules and boundaries for the students. I felt the students took advantage of this and used it to their advantage. When a student had given a wrong answer all students would call this student out and let them know there mistake. The teacher did nothing to stop the students and let the verbal bashing continue. While this continued he continued on with his questioning I believe to bypass the issue and stay on topic or to just ignore the issue still not sure…

At Duncanville High School World History class the teacher Julie Phung had been lack in teaching her student all year. But one day student Jeff Bliss got fed up with her teaching strategies and decided to give his opinion about the way she teach and encourage her to teaching a different strategies that she learn them. If you can just get up and teach them instead of handing them a freakin’ packet, yo (Bliss, 2013). There are kids in here who don’t learn like that, they need to teach face-to-face (Bliss, 2013). This was not a set up but the student Jeff Bliss was tired and angry about the way he was learning so he did something about it. The students can benefits from teaching if you have effective strategies and teacher need to improve her way of teaching. Student Jeff Bliss will lose because he will get suspended and teacher will get view by the board. The position I take on this issue that student Jeff Bliss should not confront her in public but wait until after class in a calm voice. I believe she did great by telling him to leave but not saying that any student are waste her time.…

As a teacher I have the responsibility to teach my students while maintaining a safe learning environment, this includes both physical and mental safety. The best way to do this is by clearly posting and discussing the rules and rights for students in the classroom, and the consequences for breaking them. Giving this same information in handout form that needs to be signed by parents and students will ensure that everyone knows what is to be expected of them. This will influence the students’ rights by letting them know that even with the right to free speech, there is a time and place for everything. Although every student has the right to an education, if one student becomes disruptive enough to threaten the safety of the classroom removal of that student may be necessary. It is unfair to the other students who adhere to the classroom policies to be punished for one student’s misconduct. In this situation I feel it is fair to infringe upon the one students rights for the sake of the learning…

I felt compelled to do something about this, I could not continue to sit around and do nothing for another 2 months. So I respectfully told the substitute to either ignore the disruptive students or kick them out of class because they were wasting class time and interfering with the learning of the students that wanted to learn. The disruptive students being immature took this as me trying to challenge the teacher and completely blew my whole comment out of proportion. This I assume embarrassed the substitute to the point where she felt the need to write me up to the disciplinary officials. I do not at all regret speaking out although having to receive the consequences.…

PTSD or Post Traumatic Stress Disorder is a psychiatric disorder that can occur following the experience or witnessing of life-threatening events such as the military combat, natural disasters, terrorism incidents, or any major tragedy. This is common in the life of veterans and is the leading cause of suicide among veterans. A VA patient who survived in Baghdad shares his experience with PTSD and explains how he knew he had this disability. Many veterans speak out about this issue and describe their continuous anger, alcohol addiction, and constantly wanted to fight. They usually feel very isolated and distant from their loved ones. One patient states, “PTSD involves rocketing into extreme states of stress re-activity; in the form of terror, rage, and uncontrollable impulses, and plunging into equally extreme states of being shut-down—exhaustion, emotional numbing, despair, and dissociation”. PTSD is about having fear and anxiety, allowing veterans to rage with anger and different emotion. There are many factors to PTSD, which affects others in different ways; or example, using video games to keep them occupied, spending money due to the lack of impulse control because of changes in their brain, and even not obtaining another job.…

Attention Getter: I would like to start my presentation off by telling you all to ask yourselves a series of fairly straight forward questions. I want you to take a look at you’re, any hand and ask your selves “Who’s hand is this?” Do the same with your other hand, and now both legs and your arms if you would like. If I am not mistaking the answer to all your questions are mine right. They are your hands, legs, and arms. What I am trying to get through to you all today is that your body is your body and that a person should be able to profit of his or her own body if done in a safe and controlled way.…

There were no African Americans, and few Hispanics. Each child seemed relatively the same social status, and there was a very close ratio of girls to boys. With the classroom having a pretty close to equal amount of girls to boys in it, I think it balanced out the rowdy 1st grade boys to the calmer 1st grade girls. Though, I did not like the way she handled disciplining a child that acted out. Mrs. Collier has a disciplinary system that focuses on ramifications and rewards. She has a point system that can earn them rewards, but if they are bad she takes their points away and it can cause them to get a note written home to their parents about their behavior. Mrs. Collier would make a point to call the student out and embarrass them. At one point during their reading time, we were reading a book that had the theme of kids learning their lesson from their actions. She specifically called out one little girl in front of the whole class and pointed out a time when she messed up. Mrs. Collier told the whole class what her punishment was and said, “That’s why you should never do that class”. I thought it was very inappropriate, rude and embarrassing for the kids. It made me realize that I would never handle a situation like that when I become a…
