Abstract
The objective of this paper is to examine the organizational behavior of the Time Warner. This paper explores the organizational behavior concepts practiced at Time Warner that have made this company one of the most successful and a leader in media and entertainment sector. Examining the organizational behavior practices that have made Time Warner a cornerstone in the entertainment industry we present this company’s ability to integrate change, decision making and overall organizational culture. Understanding these factors and other that have influence Time Warner in a way that has keep them successful for many years. These factors include the attitude, motivation, organizational structure, communications and human resources that have enabled Time Warner to attract the employees to excel. Time Warner created in the year 1923 by two Yale University students who begged and borrowed 86,375 USD to start what is now a leader in the entertainment industry as stated in (Time Warner, 2007). Taking only one year to turn a profit, this in present term is unmatched. By 1936, Time Warner has 500,000 journals published and circulated while diversifying into five distinctive markets. Managing this growth is truly one of the biggest challenges and making mistakes along with informed decisions is an American dream. Let us review this success story and reveal how this was accomplished with the many challenges faced by management at Time Warner and its founders Henry Luce and Briton Hadden.
