Organizational Behavior Trends

Today many management teams must make decision regarding the continuation of department within their organization. One of the primary reason is negative financial performance. You may have several members of the executive management team may believe that there is no alternative other than closing that department, down sizing or restructure. There maybe member of the management team, however, believes that the situation is ethical concerns, and that the executive team should seeks an ethics grounded response to the problem.

Nelson (2005), for many executives, ethical conflicts are regular occurrences. The decisions with ethical implications are made every day for issues as diverse, organization's services, employee's behavior. With these decisions comes issues and the action taken are critical because of their direct impact. The organization should have rules in place to handle any issue to address ethical conflicts from becoming a problem. Organization should take a fairness approach in making a decision, if isn't the right one will bring ethics on decision making. The rights, values, and interests of individuals and groups within the organization will be harmed or benefit from someones decision. The challenges of prevented ethical decision will be high, there are no simple answer to the issues at handed of ranking priorities, however, the organization mission and value statement should provide guidance when placing the interests of one value over another to prevent conflict. First we must understand there is no right or wrong answer about ethics. People may their decision on their values and that decision can affect so many people in different ways. Professional Ethics concerns one's conduct of behavior and practice when carrying out in the workgroup. Nelson (2005), such work may include consulting, researching, teaching and writing.
