Every organization has goals and standards for their employees. By having these set standards, it keeps things running smoothly and organized. These standards are behaviors, cultures, and diversity, communication, effectiveness and efficiency, and learning. Most everyone can relate to these standards in one way or another.
Organizational Behavior
Organizational behavior, according to J. Schermerhorn, J. Hunt, and R. Osborn (2005), “is the study of human behavior in organizations.” Organizational behavior is made to understand individual and group behavior, dynamics, and interpersonal processes. This leads to learning about and a better understanding about yourself and other people in a work environment. Learning about organizational behavior also leads to having potential for success in your career in dynamic, complex, shifting, and challenging new workplaces. Organizational behavior is about everyday people working to pursue goals in their careers. It is about seeking a fulfillment in your job and lifestyle.
In my workplace as a home health aid, I have many challenges I have to face on a daily basis. My behavior in the workplace has to be very mature and professional. Even when outside the workplace, my behavior has to stay strictly confidential when discussing any workplace issues. By keeping a steady behavior I keep a relationship with my clients and my organization that is trustworthy. This only helps me to be more successful in the future in my career.
