Conflict management is the process of limiting the negative aspects of conflict while increasing the positive aspects of conflict. The aim of conflict management is to enhance learning and group outcomes, including effectiveness or performance in organizational setting. People use conflict management to better express what they are feeling and to help the other person or people to better understand what is going or what is wrong. Some steps people often use for conflict management are: accommodating, avoiding, collaborating, compromising, and competing. These are some ways people either resolve conflict are start it. When you are in an argument you have to make sure u establish safety and create dialogue. When you establish safety is reassures the other person that you aren’t there to badger them or to make them feel bad or to attack them or anything, just that you are there to further express your opinion and to talk through

When he died the other son tried to kill himself and ended up in the hospital. The family is all messed up and they all disagree with each other and don’t know how to communicate with each other. The mom is very distant and treats the family like they aren’t even important and ignores everyone’s opinions and argues with people a lot and thinks that she is the only person that’s ever right. The dad tries to make them all feel better but he stays quiet and doesn’t really express his opinion because he is afraid of what they might say. The son is just getting thrown around by the parents and doesn’t know what to do because they are always arguing with each other. Eventually the mom runs away from her problems and just leaves the family without telling them. She just gets in a cab in the middle of the night and leaves. This shows how the family isn’t very good at conflict management and they don’t really know how to establish safety with each
