obesity hasn't been a problem to people until now. There has been a major weight change from the past 20 years. Obesity is a problem that affects virtually every person on the planet. Everyone knows someone who is overweight or they themselves are overweight. Obesity has had an affect on individuals overall health and with this in mind it could lead to many other illnesses and or the common disease. As obesity continues to grow at epidemic proportions in this country, Obesity will soon become one of the leading causes of intentional death. The net conflict will soon dramatically increase in relation to chronic health conditions such as diabetes and cardiovascular disease. There are many ways to protect people from this disease it is just a question of an individuals willingness.
America has become a place of one of the heaviest people in the planet ever since, the 1950's. One of the reasons is from the increase on wealth and appetites. American people eat more than they should; it has come to be from 3 meals a day to many meals a day. It is said that it is much healthier and more filling to eat 5 small meals a day than 3 large meals a day. With people eating 5-6 big meals a day it increases there normal intake, which in some countries an individuals every day food could be a families weekly supply in other countries. The center of Disease Control and Prevention reported that the percentage of obese children aged 6-11 almost quadrupled from 4% to 15% in 2000. Obese children have a 70% chance in becoming obese adults with a much higher risk of serious illness than a normal victim. What are the reasons for this epidemic? Who do we blame the media, ourselves, or both?
