America’s healthcare is a business where money gets you things you should be able to get without it. Everything in a hospital or medical facility cost money, even to go there it cost money. Even people who can afford health insurance will have to pay to see a doctor. About 40 million American’s do not have health insurance. Those who cant afford to pay for health insurance will be charge more money than it would cost a wealthier person with insurance. Its kind of ironic the poor man has to pay more than the rich man for a service that keeps you alive. Working in the health field is often a well paying job, and a lot of lives are spent due to the amount of money it takes to keep a hospital running.
Doctors often see to be modest about the money they make, and surgeons seem to think that they are underpaid to the service they provide. Life saving equipment is always the most expensive because it is of the highest technology available. A hospital is and an expensive business and seems rather to be somewhat greedy at times. A person’s life is very expensive these days and those who cannot pay the fee will lose it. Hospitals are always going out of business, and these are often hospitals around low-income elderly people. The United States healthcare system seems like it is only meant to serve the middle to upper income people.
Certain states such as Massachusetts have tried to implement a universal health insurance system, requiring all residents to purchase health insurance by law. This idea is somewhat not realistic. Requiring something unaffordable by law is undemocratic. Because of the cost of health care and health insurance, health care is a luxury to some people in the U.S. Through the debates about the recent presidential primaries, a national health insurance policy is very popular and is America goal for the Healthcare industry.
