Grasping the understanding of influential factors in business policy is no easy task. Yet when law makers evaluate our legislative practice the process must begin somewhere. Management tactics may undergo scrutiny as well as praise from internal or external components. Each has an opinion that lies solely on the ability of the management to decipher its true meaning and move forward.

In the business infrastructure of health care external factors such as member satisfaction are essential to the survival of the organization. Kaiser Permanente has a slogan of “Thrive ®”. Not only does this apply to external clientele but also to the business as a whole. The goal is for members to thrive, live long, and have happy lives. This continues to generate revenue for the organization also allowing for it “Thrive” so to speak.

As policy makers step up to bring an approach on how to provide healthcare for the United States as a whole internal and external factors of all sorts will be considered. This approach is referred to as “Universal” healthcare. Several key insurance providers and policy makers have congregated to find out externally how to internally make this a reality. On an external basis, planning was commenced by doing census surveys. With this plan put into action, committees organized & lead campaigns. All of this was done to find a solution on how to control this national epidemic of un-insured American citizens.

For the first time, new competitors from regions around the world with flexible supply chains are effectively competing against established market leaders that have formidable brands, customer loyalty and deep resources. If that is not enough, many of these aggressive new competitors are government-backed companies with access to lower-cost capital – a real business advantage.
