Brief Introduction
As we had to explain the current strategy and defining a future one to a state of the art technology, we researched for the possibilities and came to the conclusion that, nowadays, and in our kind of society, it is impossible to live without a mobile phone. Today, cell phones are more than devices that make calls. In a cell phone we can find telephone technology allied to SMS, mp3, video, photography, GPS, internet and office technology. The perfect example, of this alliance, is the N95, the high-end cell phone from Nokia, the world leader in this market.

How it all began
Nokia was set up by Fredrik Idestam’s on the banks of Nokianvirta River, it started as a paper mill. Between 1865 and 1967, the company would become a major industrial force; it merged with a cable company and a rubber firm to set the new Nokia Corporation on the path to electronics and it was only in 1902 that Nokia added electricity generation to its business activities.
In 1967 Nokia Ab, Finnish Rubber Works and Finnish Cable formally merged to create Nokia Corporation.
This newly formed Nokia Corporation was ideally positioned for a pioneering role in the early evolution of mobile communications, as European telecommunications markets were deregulated and mobile networks became global. Nokia entered the mobile phones market in 1981 when this new era began…

First Generation
Mobile phones began to proliferate through the 1980s with the introduction of "cellular" phones based on cellular networks with multiple base stations located relatively close to each other, and protocols for the automated "handover" between two cells when a phone moved from one cell to the other.
