I. THE NEW BUSINESS CONCEPT
Precision Sports Technology & Services is an international service aimed towards sports leagues such as hockey, soccer, lacrosse & football to improve the quality and accuracy and game-play in the game. The new business concept is a system of sensors placed within the goal posts with a magnetic tracking sensor in the puck/ball with a relay built in to automatically set the goal light off once the puck/ball crosses the line. In football the sensors will be placed within the first down markers and goal line with the magnetic tracking sensor in the ball. The sensors are a combination of motion sensors and sensors used in merchandise security tags. What our company will do is provide and install the sensor systems for the hockey, lacrosse, soccer and football leagues. Our service will eliminate the need for goal review and disputable goals, while in football it eliminates the need for the 1st down measurement and bad placement of the ball as well as any disputes about the ball crossing the line for a touchdown.
Our company’s office will be located in Toronto preferably close to the NHL head office. This is because we will be initially focusing on all the hockey leagues as they are the largest market in Canada and the NHL is our ultimate goal. A website will be used to promote and give information about our service; however sales will be done in person by trained sales rep that have been involved in sports in order to have a live demonstration of our product. Should an international league be interested our sales rep will travel to the country of interest. We will license out our custom and specified sensors to an established company within the sensor industry to produce them for our company but the installation will be done by tech people within our company.
Due to the nature of our business we will have to target league head offices and a sale would lead to installation of our sensors in every team...
