Secure Network Design Enterprise IT Technology Company was ready for business expansion when they placed the work order with Team D. The first item on the work ticket was to restructure the existing company network and computer system infrastructure and relocate resources in Building 1. This location had 20 employees onsite and will be transferring 16 of them to a newly leased office space in building 2 that is located across the street approximately 120 feet away on the same property as Building 1. Building 3 is also going to be leased by the company and will only have 3 employees and have 20 training rooms set up. The location for Building 3 is approx 2,000 feet away from Building 1 on a separate property site across city streets and will have 3 employees will have on 2 support personnel and will have 20 training rooms. Another request was to upgrade the existing computer systems, as the current system in place is outdated and not up to date with today’s security requirements. The current computer system set up is using stand-alone computers with a five station lantastic network for the accounting department. The company is looking to implement a network that will allow all employees the ability to share databases, scheduling, emails, secure access to the Internet, and access for remote employees working on the road. One of the main concerns is security, and being able to replicate other branches for further expansion. In this proposal, Team D will analyze the current and upgraded logical and physical network and computer system architectures that will enable the team to provide the best solution possible to maintain a secure network access with minimal down time and to keep everyone connected while keeping the company’s business-critical data safe and secure.
