My Grandfather
My Grandfather
Someone that has made an impact on my life would have to be my grandpa. If it wasn’t for my grandpa I don’t think that I would know the stuff that I know today, or even gotten as far as I am today.
My grandpa plays one of the biggest roles in my life today. He’s not only my grandfather, but my dad. Growing up from day one my real father was not there for me or for my mom. So as I grew up I had to do a lot of stuff on my own rather than me doing it with my dad. That put a huge effect on my life. But once I got older and when I really needed him the most he was not there. But you know what; the one that was is my grandfather. He was there to help me with whatever I needed big time whenever I came to school. Whenever I didn’t understand what we were doing in class sometimes he could always help me understand.
Then I was starting to stay at my grandparents’ house. Where then I staying there got me even closer to him. I remember when I would be outside practicing on whatever sport I was in at the time, the one that would help me out the most would have to be grandfather. If I would do something wrong that he would see, that I was doing he would help me out by telling me what I needed to change. Because really for the most part I learned, practiced, and did everything on my own. I guess by him doing that, and I having the love that I have for sports, made me develop this love and bond that I never knew you could have with someone.
Of course along the way growing up I did have my ups and downs. But either way he was still always there for me. To talk to me and tell me what was right and what was wrong. For some reason though the way he would talk to me and explain things to me was just so clear, I always understood and learned from him.
For my grandfather doing all he did for me I love and thank him so much. Because if it wasn’t for him I don’t think I would have gotten to where I am today. So now that I am older and looking a life a whole lot

I am thankful for my grandparents because they took me in when no one else could. They jumped in the moment I needed and were there for me then and still are now. They put up a wall upstairs and I officially moved in I have been living with them for four and half to five years now. My grandma and I also bake and make food together. My grandmother was the one who made me interested in cooking and baking. Every night she would make herself a salad or something she liked, she would make something else for my grandfather, and them for me. She did this almost every night of every week and never ate until we had our food. They’re loving because they always put me first and make sure that I am doing good in school and that I am happy. If we ever go on a trip they will go somewhere for me even if they don’t want to because they want to make my experience the best that they possibly can. Though it was hard growing up with my mom; every few years I would be able live with to my dad. He lived in Washington most of my life: Spokane, Wallawall, and Yakima- mostly because of the army. When I was about eight, my sibling and I would travel to visit him every summer and spend no more than two weeks with him. At first it was pretty easy we could go anywhere and get anything we wanted; we did not have to think of anyone else. When I was about ten, my dad would keep asking what would happen…

Even before I was born, my grandfather loved me. It was so hard for my mother to conceive me that I was known as a miracle baby to not only my mom and dad, but my grandparents as well. I was born two months early and stayed in the hospital for eleven weeks. After that, at the age of two, I caught pneumonia and was admitted back into the hospital for another long stay. My grandfather stayed at the hospital with me the entire time I was there. With my parents worrying, he was the support system of my family. The need for my parents to work made it possible for my grandfather to take care of me during the day. As age crept upon me, he began to take me out of the house to experience life - to experience what being a child truly entailed. We went to the mall, the circus, the park, and of course, church. Church to me was a time where grown-ups got together to sing, cry, and in other words, act crazy. As I got even older, he began to teach me what church was really about. I began to appreciate it more and gain a respect for it that I never used to have.…
