My Bad Day
My Bad Day

If I'd known it was going to be such a bad day, I probably would have stayed in bed. It was Friday the 15th. I got up early and the sun was shining outside my window. I cut school. I thought the best thing to do is to go to the river with my friends. When I was going outside I saw a black cat crossing my path.I knew then that this day isn't going to be one of the best in my life. Later it turned out that my worst fears were realized.

I bought a bus ticket. When I got to the bus stop and I understood that I'm late, it really put me out of humour. My friend and I decided to go on foot. It was a really hot day.

When we had arrived at the river, I realized that I had forgotten my swimming trunks. Even though it was hot, the water was cold and it's impossible to swim there without trunks so I decided to sit in the shade. There's a place where we can rent a canoe or kayak near the river, and I had heard that it was cheap. And it really is. It's only $4 per hour. First they wanted to play some sport but I didn't feel that I wanted to play football or volleyball and then I decided to boat down the river. But unfortunately bad luck was chasing me.

After I had boated about 100 feet, the sun set, and it started raining. I knew I had to go back but boating upstream was really hard. I reached the land and walked along the bank, towing my canoe. I had had enough of it. In a minute I was getting tired. The rain was even heavier than a few moments before. When I reached the harbour I was tired out and drenched to the skin. In a hurry I gave back the canoe. There's no-one near the river, even my friend hid somewhere. I didn't care about it . I started to go back home. I wasn't cold anylonger.

Later when I got home, my mom greeted me. She was happy that I was home at last. And I was happy because it was all over. It was definitely the worst day in my life and I wish I'd just stayed in bed!

Today wasn’t a good day, it was worst than most days. My brother and I woke up at 4:30am in order to be at the factory at 5:00am. We ate the leftover bread we didn’t eat for dinner on the run to the factory, but it was raining today, unfortunately, and that made us late. Which was what started our horrible day, despite the fact that I actually love rain, the sound it makes when it hits the ground is calming, but I don’t like the consequences it brought my brother and I today.…

That was the day that my grandpa passed away. Every single part of that date is engrained in my memory. My parents had driven up to Wisconsin, and my older sister Lauren drove home for college to stay with me. It wasn’t out of the normal for my parents to quickly leave, so I didn’t think much of it. I remember going to hang out with Tatum, my best friend of the time. It was a nice day outside, so of course we were outside playing on the trampoline and doing all our weird routines like we always did. Her family, who was like a second family to me, decided to go out to eat so they brought me along. We went to La Charitas. I remember how Mrs. Teeple pulled out a funny card game for us to play, and I remember Tatum cutting out faces in her tortilla, making us all laugh. When we got back to the house we saw that my sister called, so I said bye to the Teeples and walked one minute down the road to my house. Lauren, who is one of the most emotional in the family, was left with the task of telling me that my grandpa had passed away. I had just grabbed a snack of chocolate cheerios as she started to tell me the news. I didn’t know how to react, so I ran into the basement directly to the furthest corner I could find. Lauren tried talking to me, but I wanted to be by myself. One of the hardest things I have ever done was talking to my dad on the phone after finding out. He called to tell me the plans, that he was coming home to get us, and…

I never thought me, of all people, would experience such a sorrowful day. I have tried to forget it time and time again; but the reality is I will always remember every miniscule detail, moment, word, and facial expression on that particular day. My heart managed to shatter into a million pieces, leaving me without a reason to pursue my existence. My salty tears freely rolled down my warm cheeks, causing my eyes to burn sensationally. I remember mourning on the comforting shoulders of my family members, as they too were consumed by their feelings. The most valuable lesson that beared a reservation in my spirit was to cherish every moment and loved one, for tomorrow is not guaranteed to anyone. I wish I could have fathom this reality before the climactic tragedy struck me like a ton of bricks. Although death is normal, it seemed almost foreign when it abducted the life of my favorite uncle.…

I knew I wouldn’t make it to the top of the murky, warm and brown waters. I could feel the oxygen being released quickly from my lungs and bubbles swiftly skimming my skin as I slowly reached the bottom of the lake. I heard the faint cries for help and loud splashing as my sight becomes blurred. I felt someone’s hands grab mine and pull me onto the grainy dusty dirt. My vision comes back and I feel everyone’s eyes on me. They all immediately start laughing at me as I stood up and brushed the dirt off of me, feeling something tightly clutch my body.…

Trying to go to school the next day. Standing in the shower thinking maybe if I dont get out I wouldn't have to start my day and move on with it all. But as the water turns to a shivering cold I realize it’s all too real. Pushing through the first five periods of the day, the last three seemed as too much. Feeling as if I will never be able to be happy again. All these gloomy days crafted me into who I am today. This whole experience making me grow up just a little bit faster, and a little more mature and understanding seeming as I already live the life as an adult, but only being a…

Rays of sun gleamed upon the bronzed skin of my family while splashing clear green water of the Tennessee River. It was my parents, grandfather, two sisters, niece, and my brother in law. Exhaustion quickly crept among us after a day filled with intense activities such as; skiing, competitive volleyball, and long boat rides on the fragile, slow moving pontoon. We then prepared ourselves for the boat ride home which would soon be a tragedy rapidly moving towards our direction.…

It had been a crazy morning as I ran all over my house trying to find my jacket and boots. My mom had been admitted into the hospital that morning for a massive headache and all I could think about was whether or not she would be okay. I took her to the emergency room that day before so going to class was the last thing on my mind. My father and sister had agreed to stay with her till I ended class so I was more at ease knowing she wouldn’t be alone. After running all over my house looking for my things I quickly gathered myself to make my train. I finally got to Penn Station with four minutes to spare. I quickly walked to where the rest of my class was as we waited for instructions to where we would…
