Introduction
The Dairy Queen has been a good example of a system’s recipe that has been simple and successful. Dairy Queen has seen success because it’s involves a combination hardworking owners and workers who owns and runs restaurants with good-feeling and luring treats. (Dairy Queen, 2007). August 4, 1938, at Kankakee, Illinois, Dairy Queen began with a 10 cent sale of an unnamed product. It started out as a father and son in the mix plant business experimented with a soft frozen dairy product for some time. The name of the founder is John Fremont McCullough. During those days, food franchising was not heard as in the modern days, but the new products dormant paved the way for such system. There were not more than 11 Dairy Queen Stores in the late 1941 but however, the system took off a pace without any major competition. As of today, the Dairy Queen system is still among the largest fast foods systems in the world and it’s made up over 5,800 restaurants based in the USA, Canada and other foreign countries. Throughout these years, the Dairy Queen stores have maintained the same tradition and standards. It has always been the same place to find businessmen and businesswoman having lunch break, small league teams having fun after a winning a match and families enjoying awesome, nice drinks and food. As a matter of fact, the recipe of the Dairy Queen system has still been as simple as it was in 1940. All the owners of the independent owned and operated establishments around the world are still compassed to triviality less than the motto “We Treat You Right.” (Dairy Queen). Our individually owned Dairy Queen was built 11 years ago by a married couple. They started the business and ran it successfully for a season.
